New York Art Department presents Art Slots, a listing of art openings and happenings based on stuff we like (cats, net art, zig zags, big ass sculptures)... usually going down during the artsy-est timeslot ever— 6 to 8PM.

FRIDAY, APRIL 11
From "La Voie Humide"
531 W 24th St NY
New works by Brazilian artist Tunga, a sort of Joseph Beuy's meet mystical scribbler.
NO-WAVE / OHWOW
Dallas Art Fair
NO-WAVE visits Dallas, headquartered in a OHWOW pop-up shop designed by "architect-at-large" Rafael Cardenas. Listen online or if you're in Texas for the fair, the show is being broadcasted in the VIP lounge.
SATURDAY, APRIL 12
6750 Santa Monica Blvd LA
RISD alum, LA-based artist Elliott Hundley's third show at Regen Projects. Immense, compicated collage but someone clearly stricken, or maybe blessed, by severe OCD. A friend of ours once visited his studio and told us that he has little drawers labeled with cut outs from magazines-- so a little drawer for apples cut-outs, a little drawer for blonde women... etc. Amazing.
SUNDAY, APRIL 13
THE PERSISTENCE OF TRACES
Audio Visual Arts (AVA)
34 East 1st St NY
Ephemeral sound art that indexes memory in forms. Subtle yet powerful and highly detailed works we are looking forward to seeing and hearing.
